Study and Teaching at VŠB - TU Ostrava

VŠB – Technical University of Ostrava is one of the oldest Czech universities. It provides its students with higher education based on creative research. VŠB - TU Ostrava is a higher education institution focused on technology and economics and those who are interested can study here at one of seven faculties. The university offers bachelor, master and doctor study programmes as well as other forms of education, e.g. lifelong education.
The university is also aimed at implementing changes of the structure of the study connected with increasing quality. VŠB - TU Ostrava has introduced new supporting systems of study (e. g. eLearning support of the full time study, registering for exams via the Internet, etc.) and provides other services as well (e.g. realizing reciprocity study visits for the sudents and university teachers, increasing the number of computer classrooms for the students, etc.).
